Dr Antony Jinman, founder of LikeToBe originally built the site to connect students with polar scientists working in Antarctica. Since then, it has developed into a safe, learning environment that introduces young people to professional networking by connecting them with a range of organisations and employers. However, following the outbreak of Covid-19 the platform has become one of the leading providers of connectivity, replacing face-to-face career fairs and outreach programmes. As the world returns to normal, we acknowledge a blended approach of face-to-face events combined with online engagement.
